Krispy Kolsch

Krispy Kolsch

8 (5.5) lbs Pilsner 2 row malt (can substitute american 2 row)
8 (5) oz Munich (vienna)
8 (5) oz white wheat
4 (2.5) oz flaked wheat
5 (3) oz carapils
1 (1) oz   Hallertau Mittelfruh hops 60 min
0.5 (0.5) oz Hallertau Mittelfruh hops 15 min
WY2565 (ferment at 59) or the WLP029 


Ferment at 65 deg for one week, then cold condition at 40 deg for 4 weeks

Maybe use some cascade cones in whirlpool?

Dryhopped 1 gallon with 0.3 oz galaxy and 0.4 oz hallertau mittlefruh for 7 days

5.2% ABV


This came out very good.  Slightly sweet, fruity and the grains shine over the hops.  Nice smooth finish. Poundable

I would not dry hop this again.  Not good for kolsch style
